Services Offered

The Gardener offers free initial consultation up to one hour. During the initial consultation I will collect information about the site, your needs and wants, and any environmental factors. Together, we can talk about how to use your space for it's maximum potential. During this time I will ask you to fill out a form that I can use for reference.

Based on this introduction you will have the option of having a series of concept sketches drawn up. Concept sketches are basic rough ideas that include different layout shapes of the garden and possible ideas for play areas, ornaments, water features etc. These rough sketches will be presented to you at a mutually determined date and I will explain the merits of each. Through this collaborative process we can review each sketch before making your final decision. In some cases, aspects of the sketches may be combined to create the new landscape. Once a design is chosen I will follow up with a more detailed planting design and plant list.

Whenever possible I like to use local materials (sometimes even recycled materials) if they fit the design, along with specially selected plants. I will search high and low for the right container, the right ornament, or the right boulder. Working closely with you, we can create a garden that suits your space as well as your personal tastes, style and budget.
